Be Cheerful While You Are Pregnant

Is it so hard to enjoy yourself when you are pregnant? The anxieties, the pains, the discomforts, and all in between life can deprive you of the little joys of life. When our bodies do the work of creating a valuable life, we may, at times, become frustrated or overwhelmed. So it is up to us to look after ourselves and to do what makes us feel good.

These are five tips to be playful while you are pregnant with your baby.

1. Have a good time in the water:

What’s not fun? Are you feeling like a beached whale? Even if you are not a swimmer, simply enter the water. This makes your stomach almost feel weightless and reduces tension. When you are carrying 20 extra pounds during pregnancy, exercise is the last thing you might be in the mood for. But in a pool (or any other body of water), you only weigh a tenth of what you do on the ground. If you are into that kind of thing, it is a great low-impact workout too.

2. Enjoy your time with pre-baby family:

If this is your first pregnancy, please enjoy the company of your spouse. If it is your second, third, and so on before this beautiful new addition enters into the world, enjoy your time with the family. Play in whatever way works for you.

3. Play with the baby while in the womb.

Your baby will begin hearing the sounds of your body around week 18 in your pregnancy, such as your heartbeat and your belly rumbling. A baby can respond to sounds inside and outside the mother’s body at 26 weeks and can be soothed by the sound of her voice. Sing him songs, poke his little butts, and read books for them. Talk to your baby, even when it seems you’re talking to yourself.

4. Try experimenting with your food:

Your diet might be a little bit off during pregnancy, so if you can handle it, try some new recipes or try combining unusual ingredients. Ice cream and pickles, whiz cheese on steak, brownie mix — just off the pot may not seem exactly like gourmet fare; they may seem like paradise on a plate when you are pregnant. Researchers have also shown that children can taste what we eat in the amniotic fluid.

5. Have a sense of humor about the pregnancy:

Pregnant bellies are beautiful, but they are funny, too. Wearing those funny pregnancy shirts, it makes people smile, and it can make you smile, also, with the right attitude. Sometimes farting or peeing at inappropriate times may be embarrassing. Still, when you are in that situation with those “it’s either laughing or crying” moments, it is always better to choose laughter! This makes life, and birth, much more fun.
